Nancy L. Price

June 8, 1938 - January 26, 2022

Nancy L. Price, 83, died on January 26, 2022 surrounded by her children Amy Price McCord and Douglas Colby Price. Nancy and her late husband Meredith Price were longtime Andover residents and summer residents of Lovell, Maine for over fifty years. Born in Evanston, Illinois on June 8, 1938, Nancy was a graduate of New Trier High School ‘56 and Mt. Holyoke College ‘60. She went on to obtain a Master of Arts in Teaching from the Harvard Graduate School of Education where she met her husband, Meredith. Nancy briefly taught at Abbot Academy when she and Meredith joined the Phillips Academy community in 1962. In 1988 she obtained a master’s degree in social work from Simmons College and practiced as a psychotherapist for decades. Nancy loved her family, their animals and Kezar Lake in Maine. While her health prevented her from visiting Kezar Lake in later years, Nancy's favorite days were spent kayaking among the loons, swimming laps, walking her beloved dogs, and reading on the beach surrounded by family and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband Meredith, whom she was married to for 59 years. Nancy is survived by her children Amy Price McCord and Douglas Colby Price of Massachusetts and his children Caroline Price and Andrew Price. Private services will be held at a later date.
