Joan E. Turcotte, 88, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 23, 2020 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House. She was the wife of the late Gene J. Turcotte. Born in Danvers on September 4, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Blanche (Blouin) Henderson. She was raised and educated in Danvers and was a 1949 graduate of Holten High School. She worked at Wells Drug Store and as a secretary for Innis Construction. She enjoyed her Tuesday scrabble games with her late friend Ruth McNulty and her weekly card games with her devoted group of friends. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting and knitting. She was loved by many and will be missed by all. She leaves three daughters, Christine M. Valdez and her husband Miguel of Groveland, Patricia J. Turcotte of Bridgton, Maine, and Paula J. Turcotte of Danvers, and three sons, G. Mitchell Turcotte and his wife Nancy of Danvers, Daniel Turcotte and his wife, Bonnie of Little Rock, Arkansas, and James A. Turcotte and his wife Kathleen of Danvers. She also leaves her beloved grandchildren, Linda Felch and her husband, Ted, Michelle Gilliss and her husband, Steve, Dan Turcotte and his wife, Gabriella, Stefanie Harvey and her husband, Steve, Jamie Downie and his wife, Nicole, Desiree Wynott and her husband, Brian, Aimee Cary and her husband Jeff, James Turcotte and his wife, Olivia, Bridget Gotts and her husband Chris, Joanna Nguyen and her husband Khoa, Dianna Hutchins and her husband, Eli, Ella Turcotte, Kristen Holt, Michael Flaherty, Kristen Dicicco, and Ryan Dicicco, and many great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She also leaves her lifelong friend, Mary Batchelder Burke. She was predeceased by her siblings, Frances Pelletier, Dorothy Desfosses, Margaret Dempsey, Elaine Hull, Sybil Ward, James Henderson, and an infant sister Pauline. Services for Joan will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105. Arrangements are by C.R.
