PEABODY- Jacqueline A. “Jackie” (Jones) Wilson, 86, peacefully passed away on Friday, April 16, 2021 in her home. She was the loving wife of David J. Wilson with whom she shared 60 years of marriage. Born in Danvers on February 7, 1935, she was the daughter of the late John and Mona (Creeden) Jones. She was a graduate of St. John’s High School in Peabody. Jackie went one to receive her bachelor’s degree at U. Mass, Amherst and then her master’s degree from Simmons College. Jackie had a long career in social work. In her earlier years, she had worked with the Red Cross at the Chelsea Naval Yard and also in St. Albans, NY. She was the founder and director of Kalos Adult Day Care in Beverly for over 25 years. She enjoyed spending summers with her family in St. Martin, New Brunswick, Canada. In addition to her husband, David, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Monica and Robert Gaudet of Peabody, her son, David Wilson, Jr. of Lynn, her beloved grandsons, Michael and Gus Gaudet of Peabody, her brother John Jones of Danvers and her dear friend, Cynthia Keagle. She was predeceased by her brother, Colonel Henry Tufts, Jr. Her visitation will be held from 4-7PM on Monday, April 19, 2021 at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. All attendees are kindly asked to wear facial coverings and practice social distancing. All other services are private. Expressions of sympathy may be made in Jackie’s name to the Saint Mary of the Annunciation School, 14 Otis St., Danvers, MA, 01923.
