Everett F. “Rick” Rikeman, 62, of Reading, passed away on March 12, 2022 unexpectedly. Born on July 7, 1959, he was the son of the late George and Bess (Barter) Rikeman. Rick was raised and educated in Reading and graduated from Reading High School. He had been employed in the building industry for many years, specializing in acoustical ceilings. Rick truly enjoyed being active, whether socializing, lending a helping hand to family and friends or engaged with nature and outdoor activities. He was happiest when hiking, golfing, sailing and landscaping. A dedicated friend and conscientious worker, Rick always found time to help friends and put extra time and effort into any project. Rick's smile, personality and kindness will be sorely missed. He is survived by two daughters Deanna Rikeman and her wife, Kahae, of OR, and Michelle Rikeman of N. Reading, his siblings, Terry Gonsalves-Rikeman of Lynnfield, Wendy Murphy and her husband, Ross of Danvers, Jim Rikeman and his wife, Lisa of Newburyport, and Mark Rikeman of Lynnfield, seven nieces and nephews, Ian, Erin and Emily Murphy, Rachel, Erika and Hannah Rikeman and Matthew Rikeman. Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 26th from 2:00pm-5:00pm at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. All other services are private.
