DANVERS- Eva (Berube) Astolfi, 93, passed away on February 8, 2022. She was the wife of the late Arch T. Astolfi with whom she shared sixty-four years of marriage. Born in Salem on September 13, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Sophie (Tyburska) Berube. Eva was raised and educated in Salem and graduated from Salem High School. She received her bachelor’s degree from Ohio State University, where she met her husband. She went on to receive her master’s degree in Early Childhood Education at Salem State College. She worked for many years as a special needs preschool teacher in several educational settings on the North Shore. She had been a communicant of Saint Mary of the Annunciation Parish. Eva was extremely talented in needlework as well as other crafts. Having met her husband in the Newman Club Choir, she enjoyed singing with her husband and family and had been a member of the Paul Madore Chorale. Eva also enjoyed tap dancing in her earlier years and later, square dancing with her husband with the Riverside Squares. Eva is survived by her children, Mark Astolfi, David Astolfi and his wife, Catherine, Thomas Astolfi, M.D. and his wife, Judy, Suzanne Darrah and her husband, Richard and Amy Astolfi and her partner, Glenn Rogers; her grandchildren, Anthony Astolfi, Mary Allen, Karen Astolfi, Michael Astolfi, Allison Astolfi-Jan, Heather Darrah and Scott Osborne; and her great grandchildren, A.J., Karl, Finn and Riley. She was predeceased by her son, Christopher. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11AM on Saturday, February 19, 2022, in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Annunciation Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eva’s name to The Alzheimer’s Association at https://www.alz.org.
