Dorothy A. Ford Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

DANVERS- Dorothy A. (Salem) Ford, 86, passed away in her home on June 25, 2022, surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of Arthur M. Ford with whom she shared 64 years of marriage. Born in Peabody on March 11, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Martha (Farrah) Salem. She was raised and educated in Peabody and graduated from Peabody High School in 1954. Dorothy had been the personnel manager for the former Hotwatt in Danvers for 45 years. Dorothy enjoyed shopping, traveling and visits to the casino. She especially enjoyed family gathering. She loved to host her children’s friends and was known as the neighborhood “Mom”. In addition to her husband, Arthur, she is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Patrice and Kenneth Tries of Beverly and her son and daughter-in-law, Thomas and Heidi Ford of Hooksett, NH, her sister, Jean Brennenstuhl of Peabody, six grandchildren, Royal Rowland, Brandon and Jessica Tries, Samantha Madore, Rachel Chipman and Thomas Ford, Jr., five great grandchildren, Arabella, Luke, Brielle, Rosaleigh and Lilly and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased be her son, Michael Ford and her siblings, Eleanor Noyes and Edward Salem. Her Funeral Service will be held at 11AM on Wednesday, June 29, 2022, at C.R. Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers. Visitation will be held from 4-7PM on Tuesday, June 28, 2022, in the funeral home.
