DANVERS- Carolee McDonald, 74, passed away on September 27, 2021 in Beverly Hospital following a 58 year battle with lupus disease. She was the loving wife of John A. McDonald with whom she shared 51 years of marriage. Born in Danvers on May 7, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Mae (Pyndynkowski) Dombrowski. She was a lifelong resident of Danvers and graduated from Danvers High School in 1965. She went on to receive her bachelor’s degree from Salem State College and also received her master’s degree. Carolee had a long career as an elementary school teacher in the Beverly public schools. She had taught kindergarten and first grade for over 36 years, many of those years at Hannah Elementary School. Carolee enjoyed cooking, swimming and reading. In addition to her husband, John, she is survived by her daughter, Susan McDonald, grandson Wyatt McDonald, brother, Joseph Dombrowski of Middleton, sisters-in-law, Marcia Walker Leslie, JoAnn Walker Kimball, Donna, and several beloved nieces and nephews. Her Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30AM on Friday, October 1, 2021 in Saint Mary of the Annunciation Church, 24 Conant St., Danvers. Burial will follow in Walnut Grove Cemetery, 30 Sylvan St., Danvers. Visitation will be held from 4-7PM on Thursday, Sept. 30, 2021 at C.R. Lyons & Sons Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers.
