PEABODY- Carol Ann (Kasenenko) Amato, 65, passed away on March 26, 2020 in Salem Hospital. She was the wife of the late Richard Amato. Born on June 27, 1954, Carol was the daughter of the late Stephen and Jeannette (Bolduc) Kasenenko. She was raised and educated in Danvers, graduating from Danvers High School before starting a family in the city of Peabody. Carol had recently retired from the United States Postal Service after 23 years. In addition to the post office, she enjoyed many years working functions at Danversport Yacht Club as well as creating custom projects as a talented seamstress. Carol was youthful and outgoing. She had many friends with whom she enjoyed traveling, bike riding and getting together for weekly dinners with. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy and she never missed an opportunity to spend quality time with them. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Christine and Scott Hebert of Peabody and her son and daughter-in-law, Derek and Michelle Muse of Peabody, five grandchildren, Lucas, Cole, Alexis, D.J., Cyrek and four sisters, Pauline Smith of NV, Linda Shaktman of Hamilton, Susan Skolnick of Dracut and Donna Lovell of Maine and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Sharon Young. Her graveside service will be held at 11AM on Friday, August 21, 2020 in Annunciation Cemetery, Hobart St., Danvers. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in Carol’s name to Danvers People to People Food Pantry, PO Box 2076, Danvers, MA, 01923.
