Born in Everett on December 18, 1954, he was the son of the late Ronald and Elizabeth (Durham) James. He was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of Danvers High School, Class of 1974. For thirty-one years, Ron was employed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts at Hogan Regional Center. A lifelong Danvers resident, Ron was a parishioner of St. Richard Church. He enjoyed time he spent riding his Harley-Davidson, and was an adoring and loving father. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Emily James, a freshman at Danvers High School, and Erin James, a student at Smith School, a sister, Valerie Hajj and her husband Thomas of Methuen, a sister-in-law, Kathryn Ellis of Portland, ME; a niece, Shannon Ellis of Portland, and four nephews, Thomas, Jeffrey, and Samuel Hajj of Methuen and Colin Ellis of Portland, and many dear friends. His Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 at 9AM
in St. Richard Church, 90 Forest St., Danvers. Burial will follow in
St. Mary Cemetery, Danvers. Visiting hour are Monday from 4-8PM at C.R.
Lyons & Sons, Funeral Directors, 28 Elm St., Danvers Square. In
lieu of flowers, donations in Rons name may be made to the Sophia
Gordon Cancer Center at Lahey Clinic, 41 Mall Rd., Burlington, MA 01805. |
